Loved this place! The venicular was fun and we didn’t need to wait long. The last running it was very friendly and also friendly to our dog. Great price. And once I got off the venicular, the walk to… Full review by ksimbadog

Schwendistrasse is a very narrow road and you'll need to turn onto Scheideggstrasse about half way up. I don't think there are any restrictions on personal cars going up there, especially since there are a few inns up there, but legal parking could be challenging. Once parked, there are trails that lead down to the falls. The funicular from the bottom looked like fun, but we preferred the hike up, and we very happy with our decision. The falls are amazing.

Greetings, I have reviewed the website and read peoples' posts but I'm still having a little trouble understanding the process of going from the gorge to the falls on foot. How far and how strenuous a walk is it? regarding the gorge - how long a walk is it (distance and time)? Also having trouble understanding the different levels of the falls (where the funicular takes you and where you walk). Thank you for any additional information.

The lower station is about 20 minutes walk from Meiringen at Willigen. The way is signed in Meiringen. The furnicular goes to the upper station. From there you can walk further up the path, it's not too difficult and you get good views of the valley below.

Q:
Hi, We'll be there in March. Is it possible to hike the falls in March?
