A good castle, worth a visit. Nice views from the top. Can be there a couple of hours. If it is nice weather, you could take a picnic as nice grass areas to sit. Full review by Doggyylover

Hello, yes you can look around, but as with any old castle/building not easy for anyone with walking problems, with lot's of uneven surfaces. Hope this helps you.

Are there picnic tables close to the car park?

Once you had bought your tickets there was a few picnic benches and other benches - but there was lots of space to sit on the ground or walls .

There is a cafe immediately outside the castle walls in the car park. We didn't use it but it seemed quite popular. I hope this helps?
