Yes! There is park land on both sides of the river, joined by the historic covered bridge. The visitor center is on the north (farther from the highway 120 road, closer to the town) side of the river, with a parking area and toilets, and old buildings/displays, but no picnic tables. The nicer area for a picnic, bbq, play on the lawn, etc., including toilets is on the south side (closer to the highway) of the road.
