ATLANTA - A shooting turned Atlanta's Cleveland Avenue into a crime scene overnight. The shooting happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Christmas at the Pavilion Place Apartments on the 500 block of the road.

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating after a woman was shot to death on Christmas Eve. Around 6 p.m., officers responded to a person shot call at 1113 Smith Street SW. When police arrived, they found a woman with an apparent gunshot wound. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman living in transitional housing in Fayetteville was shot and killed on Christmas Eve. It is especially surprising that one of the first federal agencies to come under scrutiny from the incoming administration is one that has returned billions of dollars to many of the same consumers who were counting on leaders in Washington to look out for their wallets.
