The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a reported shooting on Wednesday night. According to the police, around 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the 10900 block of Red Oak Drive. Officials said one man was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

An occupant of the apartment pleaded with the suspect to leave, but he reportedly turned around, locked the door and stated he was going to kill one of the victims.

A woman died in the hospital and a man is critically wounded after a double shooting Monday night in Baton Rouge, police said. The shootings happened in the 1600 block of North 15th Street.
