Searchers say the fisherman fell while fishing on the Feather River southeast of Quincy and was swept under the ice.

A search for a fisherman who reportedly fell into a Northern California river and was possibly swept under the ice on Tuesday resumed Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Authorities say that at around 2:49 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, the Communication Center for the Plumas County Sheriff's Office received a call reporting a missing person in the area of Mabie,
