Kirk Herbstreit has supported Ryan Day throughout the season, and he went after his First Take colleagues for their views on the coach.

Day had been under fire after the Buckeyes again lost to Michigan to end the regular season. Many were calling for him to lose his job after that game, including ESPN star Stephen A. Smith, the centerpiece of the network's "First Take" program.

The "First Take" contributor said ESPN "ain’t got enough bosses" to hold him back the next time Herbstreit says something about him.
