WEST STOCKBRIDGE - The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is on its way to New York City after being cut down in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts on Thursday.

For the first time since 1959, this year's Rockefeller Center tree comes from Massachusetts - West Stockbridge, to be exact. It was a donation from Michael Albert and his family, who are residents of the town. As of this morning (Nov. 12), the tree was set into position, where it will soon be decorated for the holiday season.
