MLS expansion side San Diego FC have signed Denmark winger Anders Dreyer as their second-ever Designated Player, announced the club on Wednesday.

MLS side San Diego FC have announced the signing of Danish winger Anders Dreyer ahead of their first season in the competition. The 26-year-old, who can play across the frontline, has signed a three-year contract through the end of the 2027 MLS season, and becomes the club's second ever designated player.

San Diego FC acquired U.S. Men's National Team midfielder Luca de la Torre on loan from Spain's Celta de Vigo.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Midfielder Luca de la Torre is coming back to San Diego to play for his hometown Major League Soccer team. The 26-year-old will be joining San Diego FC on a 12-month loan from Spain’s RC Celta de Vigo with a purchase option, the MLS club said in a press release Wednesday.
