Known for hosting the highest number of ODI matches, Sharjah Cricket Stadium has hosted 249 ODIs since 1984. The landmark 250th ODI would be played between Afghanistan and South Africa on September 18.

Sharjah Cricket Stadium will host a three-match ODI series between South Africa and Afghanistan, starting today evening (September 18).

Afghanistan restricted South Africa to 106 runs and achieved the target for the loss of four wickets with 24 overs to spare to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. This is Afghanistan’s first victory against South Africa in six matches.
