Ahead of Thursday’s game, manager John Schneider provided an encouraging update on Bichette’s status, per MLB.com’s Keegan Matheson. Schneider noted that Bichette is going through a full pre-game routine on Thursday and has a strong chance of returning soon.

Some believe that the Toronto Blue Jays could be aggressive at the trade deadline. The Blue Jays are playing great baseball as of late, putting themselves in a position to potentially win the American League East.

Bichette is enjoying a solid bounceback campagin after he was limited to just 81 games last season. In 83 games this year, the 27-year-old is slashing .272/.311/.427 with 11 home runs, 49 RBIs and 97 hits — the fifth-most in the American League.
