Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Sunday Kyiv is ready to hand over captured North Korean soldiers to their leader Kim Jong Un if he can facilitate their exchange for Ukrainians held captive in Russia.

Ukraine is ready to return captured North Korean soldiers if leader Kim Jong Un can facilitate an exchange for Ukrainian soldiers being held in Russia, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Zelensky’s announcement came after he posted photos on social media of two men he said were North Korean soldiers captured in Russia’s Kursk region.

After Ukraine reported capturing two North Korean soldiers fighting with Russian troops, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed a prisoner exchange. The Kremlin has refused to comment. Clare Sebastian reports.
