U.S. Open runner-up Taylor Fritz has moved into the Wimbledon quarterfinals when Jordan Thompson quit with an injury in the second set of their fourth-round match.

Fifth seed Taylor Fritz of the USA will face Australia’s Jordan Thompson in a Round of 16 men’s singles clash at Wimbledon 2025. The match will take place at the All England Club on Sunday, 6 July 2025. After nervy five-set wins in the opening games, Fritz will look to settle his nerves on grass-court with a win against 44th-ranked Thompson.
