What We Know: A significant winter storm is expected to impact Texas this week. On Wednesday, North Texas has a shot at seeing a few flurries throughout, especially to the west. The day to watch will be Thursday. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will meet cold air and bring a wintry mix or snow to North Texas on Thursday and into Friday morning.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth forecasts widespread snowfall totals between 1 and 4 inches, but some areas could see up to 6 inches.
