Honda's premium arm is set to launch a new battery-electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) this year. The 2026 Acura RSX will be the first all-electric Acura that is not based on a General Motors product.

Acura has officially announced the return of the RSX nameplate, marking a new era for the brand as it unveils its first electric vehicle ( EV) built on Honda ’s EV platform. Inspired by the Acura Performance EV Concept, the all-electric Acura RSX presents itself as a sleek, coupe-like silhouette with modern tech.

Acura is bringing back the RSX name, but not as a performance-oriented sport compact coupe. Instead, it's an all-electric crossover based on the Acura Performance EV Concept shown at Monterey last year.

The new RSX will be the first car to be built on Honda’s all-new EV-specific platform. Sales of the Acura RSX are expected to commence in early 2026. Hot on the heels of the company’s retro-name revival that has already included the likes of the Integra and the Honda Prelude,

Acura will add a second electric SUV to its lineup this year, this time designed in-house, and once again recycling a name from the brand's past.

This ZDX top-of-the-line Type S is a real head-turner in Double Apex Blue Pearl with a black roof and drop-dead gorgeous 22" alloy wheels. The front grill has a huge Acura logo that is backlit, and I love the Jewel Eye LED headlights.

The company is currently focused on strengthening its position in the SUV segment as part of its goal to achieve a 50 per cent market share in the Indian automobile market
