M Ps will hold a debate on calling an early snap general election in January after a petition surpassed one million signatures. The petition on the parliamentary website, entitled "Call an immediate general election", was set up six months ago and immediately garnered a huge amount of support.

The results are in for Midway’s mayoral runoff. With the only precinct now reported, we know who came out on top. Malcom X. Williams beat Stanley E. Brown Sr., earning about 56.5% of the vote to Brown’s 43.4%, according to the election summary report.

Early voting locations are open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday in all three cities. Secure ballot boxes will be available for voters who wish to drop off a mail-in ballot, too. All mail-in ballots must be received by the Elections Department by 7 p.m. Tuesday in order to be counted.

Haiti last held a general election in 2016 and hasn't had a president since Jovenel Moïse was killed at his private residence in July 2021.

Runoff elections are happening in Idaho Falls and Pocatello on Tuesday, Dec. 2, and polling locations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. These runoff elections are occurring because no candidate in these races received more than 50% of the vote in the general election on Nov.
