The woman who was killed when a man intentionally set fire to her while she was sleeping on a New York City subway train earlier this month has been identified as Debrina Kawam, police said.

Authorities have released the identity of the sleeping woman burned to death inside a New York City subway train by a man who allegedly lit her on fire and stayed to watch the aftermath, officials said Tuesday.

Debrina Kawam had an address in Toms River, N.J., and had spent time in New York City's homeless shelter system.

A U.S. District Court Judge in New Jersey ruled on New York's plan to impose congestion pricing in Manhattan, though the interpretation differs between both parties in the suit.
