Considering the basic Nintendo Switch costs $299, the Nintendo Switch Lite costs $199, and the Nintendo Switch OLED costs $399, a price point of around $400 for the Nintendo Switch 2 seems pretty on point with the current scale. This is also the price many fans predicted it might cost and the price most are willing to pay.

Nintendo unveiled its highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 that’s set to be released later this year. Nintendo didn’t provide a launch date, but said it would share more at an April 2 event. Still, eager fans of the handheld gaming console are able to put their names in a lottery for a chance to try out the Switch in three cities across the U.

The new console looks physically similar to the popular Switch system, which has sold more than 146 million units in seven years.
