An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder Monday in connection with a fatal Denver shooting earlier this month, police said. Giovanni Gonzalez is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder in Denver’s Downtown Detention Center,

That suspect, Fabian Vasquez, 19, is being held on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. Police said their investigation found Vasquez shot the two victims. He was taken to a hospital due to a bite wound from a police dog during his arrest and for prolonged exposure to the cold.

Police arrested Giovanni Gonzalez, 18, according to the Monday press release, who is being held on a first-degree murder investigation.
