Gukesh’s solid form this year along with the fact that Ding has not won a game in the Classical format since January this year makes the Indian GM a strong favourite to emerge triumphant in World Chess Championship battle in Singapore.

The title match between Indian grandmaster D Gukesh and reigning world champion Ding Liren will be played over a period of three weeks, comprising 14 classical games and four rest days

Kolkata: On current form, D Gukesh is the favourite to win the World Chess Championship title against his Chinese opponent, Ding Liren, believes Indian teenage Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa. The World Championship is scheduled to be played from November 25 till December 15 in Singapore.
