Team India recovered from a tough position on Day 1 thanks to 195-run unbeaten partnership between Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the 1st Test vs Bangladesh.

After being dismissed for 374, India managed to keep a lead of 227 runs as the bowlers managed to make short work of Bangladesh batters.

Bangladesh were all out for a paltry 149 in their first innings as they trailed India by a massive 227 runs on the second day of the opening Test here on Friday. In reply to India's 376, Bangladesh could survive for just 47.1 overs and were shot out in the post-tea session, as they struggled big time against the home side's bowlers.
