The Texas A&M Aggies are coming off of a much-needed bye week, following their embarrassing blowout loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks. Fortunately, it appears that Texas A&M will have more than one week to get things fixed before returning to SEC play.

The Texas A&M (2-1) women‘s basketball team dominated Western Michigan (1-1), 86-38, for the program’s 900th program win.

The Aggies were led by Sahara Jones, who scored 16 points, hitting half of her 10 shots from the field. No other Aggies were in double digits, but guards Janae Kent and Aicha Coulibaly scored seven apiece to contribute to the win.

The No. 13 Texas A&M Aggies bounced back from their season-opening loss to the UCF Knights on Friday in an 87-55 win over newly-named East Texas A&M, previously Texas A&M-Commerce. Aggies transfer guard Zhuric Phelps came off the bench and scored a game-high 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting in just 18 minutes of play.

Texas A&M (1-1) finally looked like the No. 13-ranked basketball team in the country after blowing out newly named East Texas A&M 87-55 on Friday night, just four days after falling to UCF on the road to open the year.

On Saturday, it was the football team; Monday night, the Aggies men's basketball team watched jubilant Central Florida supporters storm the court after a 64-61 upset. No. 16 Texas A&M held a lead as large as 11 in its season opener but couldn't sustain the advantage. UCF's largest lead was just three points.
