Brad Marchand was traded to the Florida Panthers by the Boston Bruins on Friday. Boston received a conditional second-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft in return.

The 2006 third-round pick has played his entire NHL career with the Bruins, amassing 976 points in 1,090 games.

Brandon Carlo was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs by the Boston Bruins on Friday for forward Fraser Minten, a conditional first-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, and a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. Toronto had received the fourth-round pick from the Philadelphia Flyers earlier on Friday in the trade for forward Scott Laughton.

Brad Marchand is week to week for the Boston Bruins because of an upper-body injury, and he won't play before Friday's NHL Trade Deadline.

Boston continues selling off their pieces as they head into a rebuild, with the latest player traded being veteran center Charlie Coyle. The NHL Trade Deadline has seen its fair share of big deals.

The Boston Bruins continue to sink further with their recent loss to the New York Islanders, pushing them even farther from the goals that Brad Marchand acknowledges will not be achievable this season.

The Buffalo Sabres completed their third and final trade on Friday, acquiring a fourth-round pick from the Boston Bruins in exchange for defenseman Henri Jokiharju. Jokiharju, who played 42 games for Buffalo this season, tallied six points (three goals, three assists) while averaging 16:18 of ice time.
