China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi is due to visit Britain next month to hold talks with his UK counterpart David Lammy, The Guardian reported on Sunday.

India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri who is currently on an official visit to China has met Monday with the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing. In his first phone call with China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reportedly stated that the U.S. "does not support" Taiwan independence. Chinese state media reported that Rubio told Wang he hopes Taiwan and China will find a peaceful solution acceptable to both sides.
