Glenn comes back to New York after a strong playing career as a former first-round pick in 1994. He is entering the top job as a first time head coach but has been with the team as a scout, and has had other stops around the league as an assistant under Sean Payton and Dan Campbell.

Rodgers does have coordinator experience with the Jets from 2015-2018, serving under Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles. The Lions coordinator position remains open. Rodgers has also interviewed for the DL coaching vacancy with the Green Bay Packers this week.

Long before Aaron Glenn became a hot head-coaching candidate due to his work as the Detroit Lions defensive coordinator, he played cornerback under Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells with the New York Jets from 1997 to 1999.
