A Palestinian journalist was violently dragged out of a press conference after relentlessly pressing Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the war in Gaza.

Jordanian-Palestinian independent journalist Sam Husseini of the Institute for Public Accuracy was pick up from his chair by four security guards and hauled out of the final press briefing of Secretary of State Antony Blinken because he insisted on asking questions about the Biden administration’s support for genocide in Gaza.

Blinken faced two significant interruptions at his final briefing to reporters in office, both from people accusing him of complicity in Israeli violence against Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

Husseini continued shouting, mentioning Israel’s “nuclear weapons”, then saying, “I was sitting here quietly and now I’m being manhandled by two or three people,” referring to security guards who physically carried him out of the room.

Two journalists accusing Israel of genocide and other atrocities were expelled from Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s final press conference, in one case getting dragged out while repeatedly screaming, “Why aren’t you in the Hague?”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State Antony Blinken was giving his final comments from his department’s press briefing room, touting the Biden administration’s help brokering a ceasefire deal in Gaza, when he was interrupted by two journalists.

Several times during Blinken's opening remarks, two members of the audience repeatedly interjected with shouted questions about U.S. support for Israel and conditions in Gaza, and, at times, personal attacks aimed at Blinken and other State Department officials.

One of the men has been identified as Sam Husseini. He is a Jordanian-Palestinian writer and the communications director at the Institute for Public Accuracy. Husseini has reposted various videos "holding Blinken and this administration accountable" to his account on X, formerly Twitter.
