Dale Earnhardt Jr. finally announced his plans for the Daytona 500. He won't be behind the wheel, but he'll certainly leave his mark in February. Earnhardt revealed that reigning Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier will represent JR Motorsports in the Daytona 500.

Justin Allgaier will attempt to qualify for the 2025 Daytona 500 driving the No. 40 Chevrolet Camaro owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Greg Ives — Earnhardt Jr.'s crew chief in the Cup Series from 2015 to 2017 — will serve as the crew chief for the team.

For the first time in JR Motorsports history, the team co-owned by two-time Daytona 500 winner Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his sister Kelley Earnhardt Miller will field an entry in the Daytona 500 with NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier as the driver.
