If you’ve been following along on Warner Bros. Discovery’s chaotic journey in recent years, it might feel like ever since David Zaslav became CEO in 2022, there has been one problem after another.

Zaslav keeps the goods: HBO, HBO Max and the Warner Bros. studios (including TV and DC). His righthand man, WBD CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels, gets the leftovers — the cable channels, basically.
