No foul play is suspected in the death of the 19-year-old Walmart employee whose body was found in the store’s walk-in oven in Canada last month, police said Monday.

A company spokesperson previously said that Walmart was “heartbroken" over Gursimran Kaur's death at the store in Halifax, Canada on Oct. 19

Halifax police say the death of a 19-year-old woman found dead last month inside a piece of equipment in the bakery at a Walmart is not suspicious and there is no evidence of foul play.

The charred remains of Gursimran Kaur, 19, were found inside the walk-in oven of the Walmart she worked at in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Police have ruled that a young woman’s death in the walk-in oven of a Halifax Walmart last month was not suspicious. The body of 19-year-old Gursimran Kaur was discovered Oct. 19 by her mother, who also worked at the same Mumford Road Walmart.
