Man dead after Thursday night shooting outside apartment in Bloomington
Police responding to calls of gunshots in the 1000 block of North Summit Street Thursday night found a 48-year-old man who had been shot in the head. He later died. No one has been arrested in the shooting, which happened around 10:30 p.m. in the Crestmont neighborhood. Police confiscated the handgun they suspect was used in the killing.

A 48-year-old man is dead after a shooting Thursday night in northwest Bloomington. The shooting occurred at 1037 N. Summit St., according to the Bloomington Police Department crime log. Officers responded to a report of shots fired and found a man lying outside the residence with a gunshot wound to the head.
