The Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium and its visitors are mourning the loss of a "guest favorite" capybara. Ripple, a 12-year-old capybara who arrived to the zoo in 2017, had to be euthanized on Dec. 29.
The RainForest exhibit is currently under construction as it will be transformed into the Primate Forest, which is expected to open next year.
