A Southwest pilot who was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence minutes before his flight departed the Hilton Head/Savannah International Airport is now facing federal prosecution.

The officer notified police, who arrested the pilot, identified as 55-year-old David Allop of Bedford. Allsop, who has held a commercial pilot's license since 2008, was charged with DUI.
