Delray Beach Fire Rescue announced Friday that four members of the department has been placed on administrative leave in connection with a fire truck’s collision with a Brightline train on Dec. 28.According to a statement from fire chief Ronald Martin,

Brightline is responding after 15 people were injured when one of its trains crashed into a fire engine in Delray Beach on Saturday morning.

The crash happened at about 10:45 a.m. between a Brightline train and a Delray Beach Fire Rescue ladder truck near East Atlantic Avenue and Railroad Avenue, according to Gina Carter, Delray Beach spokeswoman. Debris from the crash scattered across the tracks and nearby roadways.
