The USWNT will kick off the new year with a camp in Southern California and a new-look strategy aimed at player development

Ashley Hatch has been called up to the U.S. women’s national soccer team’s January training camp roster. Hatch didn’t suit up for the team at all last year and last played for the national team on Dec. 5, 2023, against China. Over the course of her career, Hatch, a former BYU Cougar, has played in 22 games for the national team, scoring five goals.

The new year and the new cycle for the U.S. Women’s National Team have begun, and coach Emma Hayes named her first roster of 2025 — a list of 26 players for the senior team’s January camp. The week of training will run alongside what the program has called a “Futures” camp on Jan.

Although there won’t be any games because this camp takes place outside of a FIFA international window, it will give many new names the chance to impress.
