Because of the heavy rain, flooding, and severe weather potential, your Friday is still a First Alert Weather Day. Winds will be light from the east, and south winds will arrive by the afternoon.

Dry weather conditions will combine with these strong gusty winds to produce elevated fire danger across the state today. Winds could reach up to 50 miles per hour in some leeward areas. Winds will ease starting Wednesday, with a ridge aloft confining brief passing showers to mainly windward and mountain areas.
Thursday and Friday are both First Alert Weather Days since severe weather will be impacting the area. The weekend looks fantastic, especially on Saturday. We are forecasting low humidity and 80s for daytime highs. The heat and humidity return starting Sunday, with our next weather maker being in the middle of next week.
A few showers and storms, some of which could be on the stronger side, could make their way into parts of the stateline tonight.
