Craig Melvin is stepping into a new role on the “TODAY” show. The NBC News personality is set to replace Hoda Kotb as co-anchor of “TODAY,” alongside Savannah Guthrie starting in 2025. The announcement came directly from Guthrie on Thursday,

The journalist, who has been at NBC for 26 years, joked as recently as Monday that she did not know who would take her spot after she moved on.
