Israel has launched a new wave of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon, with residents in some areas being warned to evacuate.

The Israeli military on Monday warned civilians in southern Lebanon to move away from Hezbollah position and said it was intensifying attacks on its neighbor as the region lurched closer to an all-out war.

The Israel Defense Forces said Monday morning that it was "extensively striking" Lebanon-based targets of Hezbollah.

Dozens of Israeli air strikes hit Lebanon's south and east Monday, killing at least one civilian, official media reported, as Israel's military warned Lebanese to move away from Hezbollah targets.

Lebanon's health ministry said at least 50 people were killed and more than 300 wounded, including children, women and medics, in Israeli strikes on Monday that targeted southern Lebanon.
