New York Yankees superstar slugger Aaron Judge took a ball to the face via friendly fire during Saturday's road stand against the New York Mets. During an inning shift, Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe accidentally hit Judge in the face. The game replay makes it look like pretty gnarly contact, but Judge just needed a bandage to return to the game.

NEW YORK — Anthony Volpe has been hurting the Yankees with his play between the lines over these last several weeks while slumping at the plate. On Saturday, he accidentally hurt one of his teammates between innings.

In the second game of this Subway Series, Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe accidentally hit Aaron Judge in the head with a baseball. While it's normal for Judge to get thrown the ball as they head off the field, this time Judge wasn't looking and was hit in the face.
