With the New York Islanders losing Noah Dobson for the foreseeable future due to a lower-body injury, the team announced that they had signed defenseman Tony DeAngelo to a one-year deal: Per Frank Seravalli, he is being paid the pro-rated league minimum ($775,000).
DeAngelo had six goals and 26 assists in 34 games with the SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL before a mutual termination of his contract earlier this month to allow him to return to North America.
