Former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has found his next club after an absence from the game. The 31-year-old had not been able to find a team since the end of last season when leaving Newcastle. However, he has now signed for German second-tier side Schalke until the end of the season.

Schalke 04 have signed Loris Karius on a contract running until the end of the current season. The 31-year-old shot-stopper previously played for Liverpool, FSV Mainz 05, Besiktas, FC Union Berlin and Newcastle United. Schalke moved to secure Karius following the loan of Ron-Thorben Hoffmann to Eintracht Braunschweig.
