President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet nominees for the Department of Justice, State Department and more sat for Senate confirmation hearings throughout the day Wednesday.

Sen. Marco Rubio and former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi cruised through the start of Senate confirmation hearings Wednesday as President-elect Donald Trump’s key Cabinet nominees move forward with few apparent major snags.

A confirmation hearing is scheduled for Marco Rubio, one of two Florida political leaders nominated for President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet. But a similar hearing for Pam Bondi cannot be scheduled until the completion of an FBI background check.
