Sony is offering up special in-game bonus items for some of its most recent PlayStation PC ports to owners who have a PlayStation Network account.

Just in time for Spider-Man 2’s PC debut, Sony has made PSN account linking optional for single-player PlayStation games.

PlayStation announced that it will be offering some in-game rewards for those who play its games on PC while logged in to a PSN account. PlayStation also clarified that a PSN account will become optional for select titles on PC, which is a change from previous mandatory PSN account requirements on PC.

Sony’s biggest single-player games on PC will no longer require you to link to a PlayStation Network account to play them. In a press release Wednesday, the company said that linking a PlayStation Account will now be optional for select PlayStation titles on PC.
