The Madras High Court has formed an all-women IPS officers' SIT to probe the Anna University sexual assault case and the FIR leak incident, directing the Tamil Nadu Government to compensate the victim and ensure no future FIR leaks.

The Madras High Court on Saturday (December 28, 2024) constituted an all-woman Indian Police Service (IPS) officers’ team to investigate the Anna University sexual assault case and another case registered by the cybercrime police to probe the leak of the First Information Report (FIR) pertaining to the sexual assault.
