Gaines has shown his support for the same sex-couple who featured on his and wife Joanna Gaines' new show, "Back to the Frontier."

Back to the Frontier, which premiered on July 10, follows three families, including Hanna and Riggs, as they attempt to live like 19th-century homesteaders. Speaking to LGBTQ+ outlet Queerty, Hanna also called the experience “a great, amazing opportunity to normalize same-sex couples and same-sex families.”

Chip Gaines appears to have defended his new series, “Back to the Frontier,” for including a same-sex couple after their casting upset fans.
