The White House's controversial federal grants and loans freeze appears to be over. A memo sent by Matthew J. Vaeth at the Office of Management and Budget on Wednesday, January 29, and addressed to the heads of executive departments and agencies,

Stephanie Kelton, Professor of Economics and Public Policy, Stony Brook University. The federal grant freeze will hurt universities and research institutes, both public and private. This, in turn, will result in the temporary layoff or permanent loss of a significant number of middle class jobs in communities throughout the country.
