Kirsten Storms, 41, who has starred as Maxie Jones on the long-running soap opera since 2005, announced she will be taking a break from her role while she settles into her new home in Tennessee.

Kirsten Storms rose to fame as Disney Channel's Zenon in the ‘90s, but her time on General Hospital has cemented her as a soap star. Storms began playing Maxie Jones on the beloved soap opera in May 2005.

Earlier this month, a GH spokesperson confirmed that Paggi will temporarily replace Storms on the long-running series. Paggi will appear as Maxie on the show’s July 30 and August 13 episodes. Storms, for her part, will return during the week of August 18.
