All external power lines supplying electricity to the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine were down for several hours on Friday, the U.N. nuclear watchdog said, but the station's management later said power had been restored.

UN Secretary General António Guterres has condemned Russia's attacks on Ukraine and said that these strikes have once again jeopardised nuclear safety at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).

In a sharp contrast to recent Kremlin rhetoric on Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin laid claim to all of Ukraine and threatened a nuclear strike for the first time in months.
