Start researching Subaru! Impreza, Crosstrek, Forester, Outback - lots of great options for a first car. Their non-turbo cars are still peppy enough to be fun to drive, get good gas mileage, and aren't brutal on insurance (comparatively). Arguably the best AWD system in the price range for 99% of real world driving situations (bad weather / snow).

Mar 27, 2023 · You can get a 2019 awd loaded for under 20k. They are safe and have apple car play or android. Big screen for the kids to use navigation. They get great gas mileage and it was probably owned by a boomer off of a lease. Toyota (my preference) you will have to get one with many miles and much older.

First you need to save up for the car, then you have to pay insurance on it (which will be high because you are a teenager), then you have to put gas in it, then you have to maintain it.
