Eternal better in my opinion but Doom 2016 had special atmosphere and tone which worked better with the soundtrack. Doom Eternal is meme'ish, cartoonish game so soundtrack might not do the same. Jul 15, 2016 · Typically, the word is used to refer to music that makes use of this sound, to the sound itself, or to the scene that revolves around it. So you could call the Doom OST "djent" or "djent-y" because it does use that kind of guitar work. It also uses distorted bass and snyths, which a lot of people associate with "dubstep".

Feb 19, 2022 · Hey guys, I just thought about how cool it would be to replace the music in DOOM 1993 with the DOOM Eternal OST. Is there a simple way to do that? I remember in GTA 3 you could literally just drop some mp3 files into a soundtrack folder and they would play in the game, that's the kind of thing I'm thinking about here.

Jul 20, 2021 · It permeates the entire album, but since it seems to be the bottom layer of all the sound, it's easier to hear on all the quieter tracks--the initial buildup in "DOOM Eternal", pretty easy to hear in "Welcome Home Great Slayer", etc.
