Mar 8, 2024 · I'd like the choice of hot keys or mouse.I absolutely long for an icon for a box zoom function and haven't seen too much preference for hot keys since the instructor on an Autocad course in the nineties got nostalgic about the skill needed to remember which keys did what compared to the new icons.

Jul 22, 2016 · FreeCAD uses OpenGL. In 3D-CAD world normally stability against speed is preferred. Concerning FreeCAD for Windows. A lot of CAD-Workstations I know have NVIDIA Quadro-Graphic Cards (like the K2000 for example). At home i am using FreeCAd on a computer equipped with a AMD 7750 graphics card.

May 24, 2015 · If you get the drawings from your friend in some 2D CAD format (dwg, dxf, etc), it'll be fairly easy to model on top of it (check the Arch tutorial). If there is a 3D model already, even in mesh format, it's even better, but be aware that architecture models are not always very precise in their dimensions.

Lithophane - FreeCAD Forum
Oct 17, 2017 · When held up to a light, you can see the image in remarkable detail. They are really quite wonderful! Some of the other 3d modeling software either has a module specifically made for lithophanes or you can muck around a bit and create one. But, I have not been able to figure out how to get FreeCAD to do the task. Thanks Ron

Jun 17, 2021 · Incorrect, Surface Pro X (Which is ARM) can run x86 programs due to internal Microsoft hardware and software emulations. I am successfully running an older version of Freecad 32 bit. But currently it is not running the latest 0.19 x64 version. The Freecad team must start providing support for ARM of platform.
